Keith Herold Wilkins was born on February 20, 1961 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Stanley Finch and Rosa Lee Wilkins. Keith attended the Detroit Public school systems and graduating from Chadsey High School in 1979. While in High school he exceled academically and athletically. He was stand out football and baseball player. Keith furthered his education by get his diploma and certification in Business and Information Technology at Lawrence Tech in Southfield Michigan. Using his knowledge and skilled trait, he became a valuable employee at Comcast Cable.
Keith enjoyed keeping his brain sharp and was always willing to learn new things, he was known to fix just about anything including computers. Keeping his mind sharp included playing games like Chess and Backgammon. Keith also enjoyed watching movies of all genres, but martial arts and Sci-fi movies were his favorite. Keith found enjoyment in music and listening to his favorite artist Sade, he also loved talking about his Royal Oak historical family history.
In 1975, Keith met his best friend Linda, through the years their friendship grew into love, which in turn grew into a union. In that union 5 children completed their family, Latoya, Candace, Tyeesha, Lakeesha and Carvell. Fatherhood was truly an honor to him, and he had a special relationship with each of his children. Later in life Keith, was blessed with another child, Brett. Over the past 2 years, Keith’s relationship with God grew stronger than it ever. He began going to Kensington Church on a regular base with his son Carvell. Keith recently often spoke about how proud he was of his family and how God had truly blessed him in so many ways.
Keith is proceeded in death by his parents Stanley and Rosa Wilkins, sister Jeri Ann Wilkins and brother Stanley Finch Wilkins Jr. He leaves to cherish his memories; twin brother Kevin William Wilkins, previous wife Linda, children Latoya Gray, Candace Emerson, Tyeesha (Chad) Manning, Lakeesha (Nicholas) Morrison, Carvell Wilkins and Brett Brown. He’s also survived by a host of uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and amazing friends.
