Bonnie Jean, was born in Dade City, Florida to Zenobia and Elder Richard Adams, Sr. and raised in love by her paternal Grandmother Carrie Smith and Aunt Louise White.

As an endeared 17-year old woman, she was crowned Ms. YWCA an achievement echoed in photos that captured her youth and beauty. By 22, she had earned an Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts from Gibbs Jr. College, married and moved to Detroit, Michigan to begin the journey that would inspire motherhood and a calling that led to her service in faith and in education.
On November 1, 1967 a tenacious and beautiful baby girl, Taryn Jylain was born becoming the joy and motivation of her life. With a profession that enraptured her until retirement in the Spring of 2000, she was dedicated to her students and a committed member of the faculty of Pershing High School. Receiving Christ at a young age, her faith-walk and commitment in God’s service led her in her gift of song; Joining Donald Vail and the Choraleers in praise and worship. Later joining Hartford Memorial Baptist Church where she would lend her soprano spirited vocals to the choir. Her journey in God’s service extended to performing the work of Deaconess and choir member of Little Rock Baptist Church.
Bonnie’s beautiful and powerful soprano vocals graced family gatherings, weddings, and bereavements. She enjoyed bible study and Sunday service, dancing, movies, dining out, children and animals embracing all of her past-time activities with laughter and joyful heart.
