Davidson in Hamtramck, Michigan, on May 6, 1939. Anna is one of five
siblings.
Raised in Detroit, Anna was educated in Michigan’s public school system
and was a licensed and practicing Cosmetologist for several years.
Anna was a faithful member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church
under Pastor Kevin Mack until she moved to Cypress, Texas in the summer of
2022. Her illness prevented her from finding a new church home.
In 1985, Anna was employed by United American/Omnicare as the Front
Desk Receptionist in the Administration Department. This was a very important
role because it represented the first impression of the company to its clients and
visitors. Anna remained in this position for several years. When the company
expanded, Anna’s personable demeanor and work ethic was acknowledged, and
she was quickly promoted to a position in the Customer Service Department.
This is where a strong bond was formed with several women and a true
sisterhood was developed. This sisterhood consists of a group of friends who
traveled, celebrated milestones and holidays together, and most of all comforted
and supported each other. Throughout their 40 years of friendship, they learned
and shared their special skills with one another; Anna’s being gardening, home
décor, and her classy and elegant style. This sisterhood was later named the
‘Waiting to Exhale’ Sisterhood and is still in existence.
God called Anna home on May 3, 2024. She leaves to cherish her memory,
her loving husband of 37 years, Alfred Robinson of Cypress, Texas, four children
Bryon Davidson (Lisa), Yvette Davidson-Grams (Greg), Kay Motley (Alex),
and Lynn McNeal, sister, Dorthy Davidson, brother, James Davidson, bonus-
son, Troy Robinson, all of Detroit, Michigan, bonus- daughter, Daedriane
Rhodes (Kevin) of Cypress, Texas, five grandchildren, ten bonus-grandchildren,
great- grandchildren, special family friends, Frances Whitfield, Judy Jordan,
and Felicia Johnson, and a host of loving family and close friends. Preceding her
in death are Anna’s two sisters Rose and Denise.
