October 21, 1944 – September 30, 2024 

Annie Mae Ginyard was born on October 21, 1944, the fifth oldest child to the late Henry Authur Kitching Sr. and Alberta McCreary-Kitching of Perry, South Carolina. Annie departed this life at home surrounded by loved ones on Monday, September 30, 2024. 

In memory of those who preceded her were husband; Loman (Murel) Ginyard Sr., son; Moses Ginyard, grandson; DeMarcus Ginyard, and two brothers; Fennice and Henry Authur, Jr. Kitching. 

Annie graduated from A.L. Corbett High School in Perry, South Carolina and in August 1965, she married Loman (Murel) Ginyard Sr. and to this union four children were born Loman Jr., Jacqueline, Sherri and Moses Ginyard. 

Annie moved to Detroit, Michigan in 1967. She was employed at Keating Elementary School on the eastside of Detroit as a teacher aide and work other varies jobs. Annie later became a stay-at home mom to her four children and became involved in her children’s education, and her family always remained her life and joy, she loved to cook pound cakes and pies enjoy by all who knew her.

Annie accepted Christ at an early age at Piney Grove Baptist Church in South Carolina. After moving to Detroit, Michigan, she joined New Holly Missionary Baptist and later became a member of Cathedral of Faith Church in Inkster, Michigan under the leadership of the late Bishop Dr. J. Herbert Hinkle. 

Annie leaves to cherish and rejoice in her memory son; Loman Ginyard jr.; two daughters; Jacqueline Brown and Sherri Ginyard of Wagner, South Carolina, four sisters; Mae Bell (Earl) Staley, Miriam Stroman, Anita (Michael) Boler and Queenie Kitching of Laurel, Maryland, four brothers; Levi (Ida) Kitching of South Carolina, Jake (Kathleen) Kitching, Willie Kitching of Detroit, Michigan and Ernest Kitching of Washington D.C.; one sister-law; Laura Ann Ginyard of Dunn, NC; 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
