Asia Shanea Spencer, born on September 30, 1991, in Detroit, passed away on April 11, 2026, in Detroit, Michigan, after a battle with kidney failure.

Asia was the beloved daughter of Katrina Armstead and Liona (Bub) Langford III, who lovingly raised her, and was also born to Nelson Spencer.

Asia was a proud graduate of Martin Luther King Jr. Senior High School, Class of 2009, and went on to attend Wayne State University, where she majored in Psychology.

Asia was full of life and love. She enjoyed singing, dancing, listening to music, eating, and spending time with her family and friends. She also shared a special bond with her beloved cat, Figaro, who brought her comfort and joy. She had a deeply loving spirit and a strong, spirited personality that made her unforgettable to all who knew her.

She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved daughter, Rylie Sanders; her siblings, Dominique (Phillip) Jeffries, Jasmine Byron, and Liona (Sonny) Langford IV; her grandmother, Yvonne Glover, loving Aunt Debbie Shannon, her honorary sister, Ashley Ingram; and a host of extended family and friends.

Asia's presence brought love, laughter, and strength to those around her. She will be deeply missed.
