Annie Mae Bates was born November 05, 1921 in Montgomery, Alabama the daughter of Mary and Major Robinson Sr.
Annie Mae was united in marriage with Mr. William Brooks Sr. And to this union 6 children was born.
Mr. Robert Bates Sr. And to this union 4 children was born.
For the most part her life was devoted to her family, children, foster children and friends.
Her employment was at a variety of jobs. She retired from Evergreen Children Services of Oakpark, MI. She was a hard worker; provider and one of a kind.
A precious one from us is gone. At her demise she leaves to cherish her memory 9 children: William K. Brooks Jr. Charles Brooks Sr., Robert L. Bates Jr., Betty Bradley, Charlotte Hayes, Diane Brooks, Norma Jean Bates, Frances Smith, Robin Bates. Brother’s: Major Robinson Jr. Sisters: Elizabeth Grant and Maybell Burden, In laws: Kenneth E, Bradley, Arthur Hayes Sr., Anthony Bradley Sr., Warzell Smith Sr., Michael Henton and Dennis Dorsey; Personal Assistant Mario Simmons. A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, along with other relatives and friends. Preceding her in demise: Mr. Williams Brooks Sr., Mr. Robert Bates Sr. Barbara Jean Brooks, Anthony Brooks Jr., Darnell Brooks, Clarence Robinson, Mary Robinson, Estellaa Shorter, Cleophus Bradley, Charity Brazler Gwendolyn Brooks. Elizabeth Wilson, Sam Grant, (Andre, Antonio and Terrrel Patterson), Corey Grant, Kierra Shorter, Bobby Boone, Mr. Boone, Mr. Green, Anthony Brooks Jr. and Darrel Brooks.
