Virgie Delois Bennett
Virgie Delois Bennett died peacefully in the presence of her daughters on March 29, 2018. Virgie was born to the late Robert Poteat Jr. and Lottie Poteat (Graves) on April 14, 1949 in Leasburg, North Carolina.
Her close friends and family affectionately knew her as Lois. Virgie was a woman of strong faith, accepting Christ as her savior. She was often found reading her bible, studying, and sharing scripture with her loved ones. She was often found reading her bible, studying, and sharing scripture with her loved ones. She was a seeker of knowledge and a woman of great standards. As an inquisitive and independent woman, she was an avid reader and also known for spending a great amount of time researching in the libraries on Wayne State University's campus and in her community.
Those that knew her will acknowledge that she didn't sit too long, as she would work diligently in her yard and around the house. She was adored and respected, and will be greatly missed from the body, but continuously felt and remembered.
