Patricia Berman

Patricia Rose Berman better known as (Lady) departed from this life on September 28, 2011 at Henry Ford Hospital. Lady was born in Bessemer Alabama on December 22, 1944 to the late James and Henrietta Jones. Lady was the third oldest of six children; James Jr. (Betty), Robert, Horace, and Curtis who all preceded her in death. Lady has one surviving sister Florence Jones who was more than a sister; Lady loved Florence as if she was her own daughter.
Lady was educated in the Detroit Public Schools; she graduated from Chadsey High School. At the age of 19 she started working for Oral Surgeon Dr. Robert E.L. Perkins until he retired in 1994. Lady also worked for Oral Surgeon Dr. William E. Hooe for four years. Lady performed and exceled at all facets of the dental operation which led her to obtain her certification as a maxillofacial oral surgeon assistant.
Lady loved and lived for her sons, she made sure they had the best of things in life and supported them to the utmost. Lady loved to shop for purses and one of her fondest memories was shopping for a purse in Paris, France. After Lady retired from dentistry she spent time traveling between her son’s homes in Gurnee IL and Wardorf MD; she also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Lady’s pastime was going to the casino and worrying her sister.
Lady will always be remembered as being a quiet fun loving person, loyal friend and confidante. Lady received Christ at a young age and re-dedicated life to Christ on March 12, 2011.
She leaves to cherish her memory her sons; Elder Andrew Sr. (Berlin), Anthony (Valerie), grandsons Andrew II, La’Marr, Matthew, La’ Vonte, Mario, her sister Florence, uncles Lovell, Jimmy, Curtis, great aunt Nanny, and a host of relatives and close friends.
