Born on March 13, 1932, in Autaugaville, Alabama, Bertha lived a remarkable life that touched the hearts of many.
Bertha was known for her warm spirit, infectious smile, and exceptional baking skills. Her career as a baker showcased her dedication to caring for others, as she filled the lives of patients, families, and colleagues with joy through her delightful creations. She had a unique ability to bring comfort and happiness to those around her, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness.

A public viewing will be held to celebrate Bertha's life on August 4, 2025, at 3:00pm - 9:00pm at the James H. Cole Home for Funerals - Northwest Chapel. Family and friends will have the opportunity to share memories and offer their condolences as we come together to honor her remarkable life.
The funeral service will take place on Thursday, August 5th, at 11:00 AM, also at James H. Cole Home for Funerals - Northwest Chapel. A family hour will precede the service at 10:30am, providing a time for loved ones to gather in remembrance and reflection.
Following the service, Bertha will be laid to rest in a burial ceremony at Detroit Memorial Park East in Warren, MI, 48092. As we gather to bid farewell to this extraordinary woman, let us celebrate her life, her love, and the indelible mark she left on all who knew her.
