It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Betty Jean Riley. Born on December 11, 1943, in Lake Harbor, Florida, Betty's journey through life was characterized by her unwavering strength, compassion, and dedication to the well-being of others.

Betty spent much of her life as a midwife, a calling she embraced with grace and love. Her nurturing spirit touched countless families as she brought new life into the world, earning her the affection and respect of all she served.

She leaves behind her devoted children who will forever carry her memory in their hearts. Betty's legacy of love and service will continue to inspire those who knew her.

A Public Viewing will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the James H. Cole Home for Funerals - Northwest Chapel, where friends and family can gather to pay their respects and share cherished memories. A Family Hour will precede the Funeral Service on Friday, April 10th, at 8:30 AM, followed by the service at 9:00 AM at the funeral home. Betty will be laid to rest in a burial ceremony at Detroit Memorial Park West in Redford, MI, as we gather to honor her life and the profound impact she made on those around her.

Betty Jean Riley's spirit will live on through the love she shared, the lives she touched, and the family she cherished. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
