Bobby Lee Gaddy

October 22, 1941 — September 9, 2025

Bobby Lee Gaddy was born on October 22, 1941, in Detroit, Michigan, to Robert and Lenolia Gaddy (both of whom proceeded him in death), Bobby passed away on September 9, 2025. He leaves behind a legacy of faith, service, creativity, and love for his family.

Bobby grew up attending a Pentecostal church, where his faith was nurtured from a young age. During his youth, he preached and helped spread the gospel, planting seeds of encouragement and hope that touched many lives. His love for God remained a guiding light throughout his life.

As a child, Bobby enjoyed building model airplanes and developed a passion for painting, an art form he carried with him into adulthood. His creativity and curiosity were matched by a deep love of learning.

In 1966, Bobby proudly enlisted in the United States Army, where he served honorably until 1990. During his distinguished career, he served in Vietnam and was awarded numerous medals and commendations for his courage and commitment, including the Bronze Star, Silver Star, National Defense Service Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Non commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon, and multiple Over-seas Service Bars. His service was a testament to his strength, leadership, and devotion to his country.

Bobby valued education and went on to attend Chaminade College of Honolulu and Cameron University, where he proudly earned his bachelor’s degree.

He was married and blessed with three children: sons Robert and Kenny Gaddy, and daughter UrsulaTurner. He also lovingly embraced his stepson, Christopher McCant. Bobby cherished his role as a father and found joy in supporting and guiding his family.
