Obituary

Mother Dorothea J. Hall Bradford was born January 21, 1942 to the late Hudge and Lillie Hall in Royal Oak Township. She was the seventh of twelve children.
Mother Bradford received her education in the Ferndale Public Schools. She was united in holy matrimony on July 6, 1968 to Lawrence e. Bradford. Lawrence Bradford preceded her in death in 1993. To this union, three children were born; Gerald Lamont, Torriea Michelle, and Tamekia Nicole.
Mother Dorothea Bradford worked 53 years in the medical field before retiring in 2018. She worked for Martin Place Hospital (7 years), Sinai Grace Hospital (26 years), Botsford Hospital (5 years) and Providence Hospital (15 years).
Mother Bradford was a member of Indiana Avenue C.O.G.I.C., where she was baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost. She served faithfully under the late Bishop Ozzie A. Evans, who baptized her, and current Pastor Supt. Lester T. Evans. She served as Assistant Church Mother, Pastor’s Aide President, and President of the Board of Directors. Mother Bradford loved her church home, the saints and especially the Lord who has blessed her to be a blessing to others. She was active in her community as a valued committee member for the Royal Oak Township Pearls of Wisdom.
Dorothea made her transition on January 15, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hudge and Lillie Hall; her twin brother, David Hall Sr., brothers, Bruce Hall, Gerald Hall and Kenneth Hall; and sisters, Joyce Hall and Darlene Wagner.
She leave to cherish her precious memory, on son, Gerald Lamont; two daughters, Torriea Michelle (Debra) and Tamekia Nicole; four sisters, Thelma Griffin, Marion Salley, Joann Wilkins and Linda Williams; one brother Hudge Hall; numerous nieces, nephews, friends and her Indiana Avenue C.O.G.I.C family.
