Before dawn on May 24th, Leo Broadnax, Jr. made his transition at home in the presence of his loving wife, Chandra and his dear son, Jonathan.
Leo (Little Leo/ Red) was born, 1975 and raised on the west side of Detroit. His love for the city and dedication to the community encouraged him to establish Flat Rate Towing, which he owned and operated for nearly 15 years.
For many who knew him, Leo was a leader, a confidant, a mentor, a friend, and a trusted brother. He treated everyone with respect, love & dignity, with a focus on family first.
He is survived by his wife Chandra and his son, Jonathan (JoJo), who was the center of his universe and made his life whole; his father and mother, Leo Sr. and Mary Broadnax; mother-in-law, Kathleen Ellis; father and mother-in-law, Lester and Alma Wright; sisters, Maria and Theresa (Lester); sister-in-laws, Leslie (Gowens) and Lacey (Chapman); brother, Christopher; brother-in-laws, Patrick (Ellis), Andre (Gowens), Christopher (Chapman), and Richmond (Lester); nieces, Jeniece, Jasmyn, Mackenzie and Destani; nephews, Royce, Marcel, Avery and Levi; and a whole host of loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather and grandmother, Roman Eichholzer Sr. and Lieselotte Moore; paternal grandfather and grandmother, Wilford and Minnie Lee; maternal uncle, Roman Eichholzer Jr; father in law, Charles Ellis.
