Susan Callahan

Susan Jewel (Barber) Callahan, age 62, passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, June 20, 2014 surrounded by her friends, family, and loved ones. She was born to the late Fred and Freda (Atchison) Barber on September 11, 1952 in Jackson, MI.

Susan was proceeded in death by her daughter, Ehrin O’Connell, and her brother, Patrick Michael O’Sullivan. She is survived by her loving husband, Mike Callahan, and her daughters, Ehrika (O’Connell) Hayslip, and Maggie Schultz. She is also survived by her brothers, Bob and (Lucille) Kirkpatrick, Terry O’Sullivan, and her sister, Phyllis (O’Sullivan) Corona. She holds a special place in heart for Andrew Callahan, Elizabeth Callahan, Lindy (Schultz) Cook, Kelly (Schultz) Parks, and many beloved nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

Susan will be especially remembered for her quick wit, adventurous spirit, and her ability to make others feel loved and appreciated.

A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held on Sunday, June 22, 2014 at four o’clock in the afternoon at her home located at 219 Rosedale Court, Detroit, MI. Please join her family to honor her in true “Suzie” fashion to share your stories, and send her off with a joyous party she would have been proud of.
