Obituary for Dionne Maurice Campbell
Dionne Maurice Campbell was born April 9, 1971 in Farmington Hills, Michigan to the parents of Kenneth Powell and Tonnie Campbell.
Dionne accepted Christ into his life at an early age as his personal savor and later became a member of New Bethel Baptist Church where he was baptized under the pastoral ship of Reverend Robert Smith.
Dionne received his education through the Detroit Public School System and graduated from Murray Wright High School. He later enrolled in a Technical Institute C.D.I (Control Data Institute) which later landed him a great job working for the State of Michigan. In spite of his busy schedule Dionne always found time to look after and care for the Pride & Joy of his life, his Nephew “Jalen.”
Dionne was very intrigued with Designing & Decorating and possessed a very unique & quirky sense of fashion. From his Red & White Candy Cane colored schemed Kitchen, to the life like Asian Bedroom Set which actually made you feel as though you were really in China, to his unpredictable clothing attire that always kept you guessing; “I wonder what Dionne will be wearing next.”
Dionne was big on Family & Friendship. He will forever be known as Tonnies' Baby Boy/A True Mama's Boy, a mother & sons love that is shared unconditionally like no other. Though he was blessed to be a best friend and big brother to his sister “Tiffany” whom he loved with all his heart, he was also a Big BROTHER, Little BROTHER and Best Friend to many others.
He later became a member of a distinguished organization called “CONNECTIONS” where he was unanimously considered as the Center Link of the group and the Guy with that beautiful SMILE affectionately known as The NOX! From this group Special Friendships and Brotherhood Bonds were formed and never to be broken.
On August 29, 2014 Dionne received the call of a lifetime, a call from “The Almighty GOD” to come and go with him from Labor to Reward! Dionne Campbell was preceded in death by his father Kenneth Powell, his Maternal Grandparents; Johnnie Mae Campbell & Willie Taylor.
Dionne leaves to cherish his loving memory, his beloved Mother: Tonnie Campbell, Sister: Tiffany Campbell, Nephew: Jalen Campbell, Fraternal Grandparents: Sylvestor & Lucille Powell, Best friend & Honorary Brother: Robert (Thaike) Williams, Honorary Big Brother: Darryl (Ko'Dack) Clemons, a host of aunts, uncles & cousins, Honorary Brothers & Sisters: (Connection & The Brothers) and a host of additional family and friends who loved and cared for Dionne dearly.
