Obituary for 
								                                    James L.  Chambers Jr.
 
 
  James Lee Chambers, Jr., was born November 26,
  
  1945 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He accepted Christ at an early age.
  
  
   James attended Winterhalter Elementary School, Tappan Junior
   
   High School and Mackenzie High School in Detroit, Michigan. In
   
   addition, James attended Macomb County Community College and the
   
   University of Detroit. He received a A.S. Degree in Marketing from
   
   Macomb County Community College; and his B.A. and M.A. Degree in
   
   Economics from the University of Detroit.
   
   
   In 1964, James enlisted into the United States Air Force, where
   
   he served as a Sargent in the Military Police. In 1968, he received an Honorable
   
   Discharge.
   
   
   James was an avid reader, chess player, and he loved swimming
   
   and traveling. His specialties were reading Philosophy and teaching
   
   Math. He also loved to build computers, loved electronics and
   
   photography. His favorite scripture was the 91st Psalm.
   
   
   James loved to volunteer at the Detroit Veteran Hospital, the
   
   Coleman A. Young Recreation Center and Patton Recreation Center.
   
   While attending the Veteran Hospital and the recreation centers, he taught
   
   as well as played chess.
   
   
   Those who have preceded him in death: his father, James Lee
   
   Chambers, Sr.; sister, Joyce; and his brothers, Maurice and Cornelius.
   
   James departed this life on Saturday, January 1, 2011.
   
   
   He leaves to cherish his memories: his son, Anthony Brian
   
   Chambers; mother, Dorothy Jones; one sister, Jacqueline C. David
   
   (Calvin C. Jr.); one brother, Gregory Jones, Sr,.; sisters-in-law and
   
   brothers-in-law; nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and
   
   friends.
