Charlie Howard Jr. was born in Detroit, Michigan on January 9, 1942. He was the second of four sons, to the late Charlie Howard Sr. and Wyona Scruggs- Howard. He professed his life to Christ, and was later ordained a minister at Pleasant Green C.O.G.I.C.

Charlie worked as a welder at Ford Wixom Assembly Plant, until he became disabled. He was a loyal family man, who delighted in helping others through his carpentry skills, positive advice and undeniable acts of kindness. His compassionate spirit and dedication to the upbuild of his community, will always be remembered.

Following hospitalization and medical procedures, with his devoted wife by his side...The Lord called him home on July 6, 2026.

Charlie was preceded in death by his three brothers; Alfred, Willie and Wayman. He leaves to cherish his memory- His loving wife of 63 years; Alice, two sons; Charlie III (of Michigan), Aaron (of California) and one daughter; Eureka (of New York). He also leaves five granddaughters, five grandsons, one great granddaughter, three great grandsons, four sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law, a daughter of the heart; Aleatha Jeffries and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Charlie's favorite bible verse was "Trust in The Lord with all thine heart. Lean not unto thine own understanding, but in all thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy path." Proverbs 3:5
