Born on October 7, 1929, in Detroit, Michigan, Clarice dedicated her life to serving others and nurturing her family, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her.
Clarice's early years were shaped by the vibrant streets of Detroit, where she embraced the values of hard work and perseverance. She pursued her education at Wayne State University, before embarking on a career as a clerk for the State of Michigan, showcasing her commitment to public service and community involvement. Her unwavering dedication to her work and family was a true testament to her character.
Clarice is survived by her loving daughters, Cathy Hardaway and Michelle Hardaway, who will forever cherish the lessons of love, strength, and compassion that their mother instilled in them. Her legacy lives on through the countless lives she touched and the warmth of her spirit that lingers in the hearts of her family and friends.
In tribute to Clarice's remarkable life, a public viewing will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the James H. Cole Home for Funerals - Northwest Chapel. The family hour will take place at Gesu Catholic Church on Saturday, August 2nd, at 10:30 AM, leading into a funeral mass at 11:00 AM. Friends and family are invited to come together in remembrance and celebration of a life well-lived.
Following the service, Clarice will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery in Detroit. In honoring her memory, we invite all who knew and loved her to join us in commemorating her enduring spirit and giving thanks for the love she so freely shared.
