Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Clevland J. Williams Jr., who departed this world on February 3, 2026. He was 100 years old and would have celebrated his 101st birthday next month.

Born on March 5, 1925, in Detroit, Michigan, Clevland brought warmth, joy, and happiness to everyone he encountered. He was a proud veteran, devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Clevland made history as one of the first Black pilots in the Tuskegee Airmen, courageously serving his country and helping to break racial barriers in the United States military and beyond. His life was a testament to perseverance, resilience, and the power of determination. Through hard work and unwavering faith, he paved the way for future generations and inspired all who knew him.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Victoria Williams; his only son, Michael Anthony Williams; as well as his cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will carry forward his remarkable legacy. He will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
