Stephanie Denise (Nugin) Crispen was born to the union of Gloria Jean and Gregory Vernae Nugin on December 14, 1967 at Hutzel Women’s Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, and is the eldest of their mother and father’s children.Stephanie began attending Northwestern High School in Detroit, MI in 1982 when she met her long-time love Keith Alonzo Crispen. They were inseparable, and gave birth to their eldest of two sons on May 23, 1985 –– Keith Alexander Crispen.Stephanie and Keith married in 1986, and their family moved to Leopoldshafen, West Germany, as Keith (father) was stationed at Gersewski Kaserne US Army Base in Karlsruhe, West Germany. Stephanie later gave birth to her second son, Justin Stephon Crispen, on March 8, 1990 in Heidelberg, Germany, and they all moved back home to the US shortly after.Stephanie was a devout Christian, had dedicated her life to Jesus Christ, and diligently studied her bible and prayed for her family/friends. She was also dedicated to her recovery as a proud member of Narcotics Anonymous, where she attended meetings regularly, gave talks to share her testimonies and motivate others, and often helped newly recovering addicts find their way. Stephanie had many talents and possessed a magnetic personality that lit up any room. She was great with people and worked for 17 years as a manicurist and nail technician; but ultimately, her beauty, charisma and charm led her to a career as a flight attendant. She flew with Spirit Airlines, National Airlines, and most recently Endeavor Air. Stephanie traveled the world and even spent a short time living in Dubai, managing flights for Department of Defense troops stationed all over the globe. Stephanie was an unparalleled original from her keen sense of style, to her signature hair, her eyeglass frames and even the way that she spoke. She loved her family, especially her son’s Keith and Justin and was a dedicated “Oma” (German for Grandmother) to her grandsons Carter, Ethan and Justin II. She loved photography, travel, fashion, art, and food. She most recently had taken courses at Oakland Community College in Photography, and used her skills and techniques to capture beautiful moments with her family and friends.Stephanie leaves to cherish her memory, her sons Keith and Justin. Her grandsons Carter, Ethan and Justin II. Her sisters, Shawn, Crystal, and brother Gregory.
