It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of David William Hill, beloved husband, father, and friend, who departed this life peacefully on February 1, 2026, at the age of 97. Born on June 7, 1928, in Detroit, Michigan, David lived a life marked by hard work, dedication, and a profound love for his family.

David served the community for many years as a clerk in the U.S. Postal Service, where he was known for his commitment to his job and the kindness he showed to those he encountered daily. His warm smile and welcoming nature left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

A Public Viewing will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at 3:00 PM at James H. Cole Home for Funerals - Blvd. Chapel, with a family hour being held from 6:00pm - 8:00pm where family and friends are invited to pay their final respects. A Funeral Service will take place on Friday, February 13th, at 11:00 AM at Resurrection United Methodist. David will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery in Detroit, MI.
