On Sunday, January 9, 2022, Donell André Dixon, loving husband, father of four children, and grandfather of three, passed away at the age of 54.

Donell André Dixon was born in Cleveland, Ohio on October 19, 1967. He was the son to the late Donell Dixon and Katherine (Carter) Dortch. In 1984, Donell graduated from John F. Kennedy High School. Upon graduation, Donell enlisted in the United States Army where he served for eight years until he was honorably discharged in 1994. He received his Bachelors of Social Work from Oakland University in 2012 and was named "Most Outstanding Social Worker" of his class, and received his Master of Social Work from Wayne State University in 2013. He served his community in the role of a Social Worker for ten years.

On August 31, 2002, he married Olivia Rose Dixon. They shared four daughters: Tavia, Tanisha (William Winston), Asia, and Talia. Donell had a passion for providing and protecting his family. He was known for his fun-loving charismatic presence, infectious smile, and willingness to serve others.

He loved football, music, superheroes, Hallmark Christmas movies, tattoos, fried chicken, chips, Slurpees, Veteran discounts, The OHIO State Buckeyes, the Cleveland Browns, poetry, drawing, coloring, clearing his emails, paying attention to details, having lengthy corrective conversations, playing board games, traveling, to be color coordinated, to rap, to dance, to embarrass his wife, and to encourage others and make people laugh.

His memory will be forever cherished by those that preceded him in death, his stepfather Tony Dortch, uncle Lawrence Carter and aunts Martha (Albert) Patton, Geraldine (Fluffy) Carter, Regina (Gregory) Hall, Alfreda Carter, and a host of stepsiblings, In-Laws, relatives, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
