Doris Mitchell-Lee was born on June
30, 1940, in Lanett, Alabama to the union of the
late Eddie and Ethel Mitchell, and from this union,
a total of nine children were born.
Doris received her education in the Lanier High
School system. She also accepted Jesus Christ at an
early age at Mount Hermon Baptist Church under
the leadership of Reverend Carter.
When she moved to Detroit in the late fifties,
she joined Second Ebenezer Church under the
leadership of Reverend R.H. Griggs .
She soon married the love of her life, Sammie
Lee and to their union were born two children,
Reginald Lee and Tracy Lee.
Doris loved life along with her family and
friends. She enjoyed dining out, hosting parties,
playing cards, sewing and crossword puzzles.
Doris was proceeded into glory by three brothers,
Kary Claude Mitchell, Eddie (Irene) Mitchell Jr.,
and Ike Flowers. She also was proceeded by three
sisters, Mattie Mae Mitchell, Bonnie Sue Mitchell,
and Marth Ann Bradley .
Doris leaves to cherish her memory her loving
children Reginald and Tracy, her loving sister
Mildred (Homer) Heard, two loving brothers Issac
(Jonnie) Flowers and Randy Flowers. She also left
three nieces Priscilla, Veronica and Patrice, along
with four nephews Tassel, Detric, Rodr~_ka and
Dwayne. She was loved and appreciated by a host
of additional family friends and associates.
