Douglas Lee Thomas was born on February 14, 1957, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Etta Thomas and James Thomas.Douglas graduated from Mumford High School in 1975. He was employed by Conrail as a Car Inspector, where he worked faithfully until his retirement.Douglas enjoyed watching sports, keeping up with the stock market, and bowling. He found joy in staying informed, cheering on his favorite teams, and spending time doing the things he loved.On June 12, 2026, Douglas departed this life and entered eternal rest. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Thomas and Etta Thomas, and his sister, Johnnie Denise Thomas.He leaves to cherish his memory his loving daughters, Kenisha Dove and Tiana Thomas; his devoted companion, Elfrida Perry; his siblings, James Thomas and Coria Forletta; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.To those who truly knew Doug, he was a stern yet loving man whose strength, wisdom, and presence left a lasting impression. Though he is no longer with us, his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed.
