Timothy "Joe" Fergerson

Timothy "T.L." Fergerson was born in Columbia County Arkansas on February 20, 1935, to the late Gus Fergerson and Lizzie Lenora Caldwell Fergerson. After graduating from McMittress High School in Emerson, he followed his older brothers to Detroit. Here he began a long and rewarding career in the automotive industry. He became a journeyman electrician. Tim, as he is known by friends and coworkers, retired from the General Motors Livonia plant, where he last served as UAW Benefits Rep/Electrician, Local 262. During his early years in Detroit, Tim started a family resulting in the birth of his two children, Janet and Jeffery. T.L. met and married the late Sylvairine Boykin who preceded him in death in May 2018. Tim leaves to cherish fond memories many friends and family members including his children, Janet (Earnest) Casey, IL, and Jeffery (Tracey) Fergerson, CO. Viewing / Wake will be held on Thursday, June 10, 2021, at the James H. Cole Northwest Chapel, 16100 Schaefer Hwy, Detroit MI, 48235 at 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 11, 2021, at the James H. Cole Northwest Chapel, 16100 Schaefer Hwy, Detroit MI, 48235, seating will begin at 8:30 a.m. and service will be held from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m.
