William Grant Jr.

William (Butch) Grant Jr. was the second child born to the late William Grant Sr. and Bertha (Dean) Grant (both whom preceded him in death). William grew up in the Metro Detroit area and graduated from Mackenzie High School. He attended Western Michigan University until he was drafted into the US Army. Upon his return from the military, William was employed at Massey Ferguson, Kelsey-Hayes, GM and G & T Auto. William met and married the love of his life, Sharon Mitchell, in 1974, and together they raised 3 daughters. Left to cherish his memory are three loving and devoted daughters, (LaTrese, Rae and Camillia), four sisters, (Mary, Delores, Linda and Francine), eight grandchildren, (D’ore, Xavier, Kourtnie, Derrick, Keirston, Kaelon, Lundyn and Aminah), four Great-Grandchildren, (D’orielle, D’ore, Zy’aire and Ja’dore), a host of nieces, nephews and cousins who undoubtedly loved him and a village of friends. Now William, finally, is at rest, and we hold him close within us. Please hold him close, as we do, in your mind and your spirit.
