It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Helene Yolanda Smith, who departed this life on November 14, 2025, at the age of 49. Born on June 22, 1976, in Detroit, Michigan, Helene was a devoted mother and daughter whose spirit touched everyone she met.

Helene was a proud Detroit native, spending her life nurturing her family and creating a warm, loving home. Her strength and kindness were felt deeply by all who knew her. Each of her family members carries a piece of her heart into the future, holding onto the countless memories they created together.

Family and friends are invited to honor and celebrate Helene's life. A public viewing will be held at James H. Cole Home for Funerals - Northwest Chapel on Monday, December 1, 2025, from 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM. The funeral service will take place the following day, Tuesday, December 2nd, at 11:00 AM, preceded by a family hour at 10:30 AM.
