Robert A. Hudson, was born November 21, 1958 in Detroit, Michigan to Bettie Miller and adopted by Leon Hudson, Sr.
Robert accepted Christ at an early age.
Robert attended the Detroit Public School system. While in High School, Robert matured and earned high accommodation in Reserve Officer Training Corp (ROTC). Robert graduated from Cooley High School in 1977. After high school, Robert joined the Michigan National Guard Unit 1/182F.A.
Robert started his employment career off as a DJ and was employed at WCHB 1400 AM and worked under J. Butler. His was also employed as a truck driver, security guard, and hi-lo driver. Robert’s passion for driving lead him to the City of Detroit Department of Transportation. For 25 years he was a city bus driver. Driving and music were both of passions of his.
Robert met Denise while doing his favorite thing, driving a bus. They were joined in matrimony in 2003. They enjoy 18 years together.
Robert’s favorite hobbies was music, movies and bowling. He was a true funk music aficionado. Robert had a collection of over 500 albums that were part of his DJ repertoire.
Robert departed this life August 2, 2021. He was preceded in death by Leon Hudson, Sr. (father), Bettie Hudson (mother), Gregory L. Hudson (brother) and Mittora M. Hudson (sister).
Robert leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Denise Hudson, Clinton (Deborah), Kevin, Sr. (Shirley), Anthony, Vincent, Wendel, and Leon, Jr. Robert had no children but leaves his stepchildren, Avera, Aundrea, Aundre and his special grand-daughter Ashlee. He was also Uncle/Dad to his nieces Kira and Keana. A host of other nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
