Jeanette Tatum, beloved wife, mother, and friend, peacefully departed this life on April 4, 2026, in Detroit, Michigan, at the age of 82. Born on March 21, 1944, in Milledgeville, Georgia, Jeanette lived a life filled with love and dedication to her family and community.
Jeanette was a proud and devoted member of her family, always nurturing and supporting those around her. Her warmth and kindness touched the lives of many, and her legacy will continue through the stories and memories shared by her family and friends.
For those wishing to pay their respects, a public viewing will be held at the James H. Cole Home for Funerals - Northwest Chapel on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at 3:00 PM. A family hour will follow on Friday, April 17th, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness, located at 13350 W 8 Mile Rd, starting at 12:00 PM. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM, honoring Jeanette's life and the many ways she touched the hearts of those around her.
Jeanette will be laid to rest at Grand Lawn Cemetery in Detroit, M. Her gentle spirit will be missed, but her love will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
In honoring her memory, we invite all who knew and loved Jeanette to join us in celebrating a life well-lived.
