Paul A. Jennings

Paul Anthony Jennings was the fourth of five children born to the late Marshall and Almeda Jennings. He transitioned to his heavenly home on Friday, September 11, 2020.

From an early age, Paul had a thirst for knowledge and performed well in his classes. Paul attended Presentation - Our Lady of Victory Catholic Elementary School, graduated from Cass Tech High School and attended Michigan State University (MSU) for a semester on scholarship. Paul also studied briefly at Sacred Heart Seminary in Detroit. His studies were curtailed when he left school to assist with the care of our father during his illness.

Upon leaving MSU, Paul worked at Rice University (Houston, Texas) in their computing department; the United States Postal Services; the Internal Revenue Service (Detroit); and with a medical transport company in Detroit.

Paul leaves to mourn his loss: four siblings, Joseph M. (Joyce) Jennings, Cynthia M. Jennings, Edward R. Jennings and Annabel Jennings; five nieces and a nephew – Amanda (RaShawn) Venerable, Keera Walton, Jamae King, Keesha (Timothy) Jones, Cassandra Jennings and James Jennings. He also leaves a host of great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and Uncle James T. Jennings, who he lived with at the time of his departure.

Paul was an avid reader and lover of music,especially jazz. He enjoyed sharing his favorite books, movies and music with his family. Paul also loved God and His son, the Lord Jesus Christ, and strived to live a life pleasing to Him by the power of the Holy Spirit. The Bible was his most favored book and many words from it were hidden in his heart!
