With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of John Lewis Alexander, a beloved father, friend, and dedicated member of the community, who entered eternal rest on January 11, 2026, at the age of 94. Born on November 13, 1931, in Cotton Plant, Mississippi, John lived a life marked by resilience, dedication, and love for his family.
John was a proud worker in the automotive industry, where his commitment and hard work contributed to the growth of the Detroit community. He valued education and paved the way for future generations with the knowledge he shared, proving that success is not solely defined by academic accolades, but by one's character and contributions to society.

Public viewing will be held at James H. Cole Home for Funerals - Northwest Chapel on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 4:00 PM. The funeral service will take place the following day, Sunday, January 25th at 2:30 PM, preceded by a family hour at 2:00 PM.
