Obituary for Naomi Kirkpatrick (Cleveland )

Naomi Kirkpatrick was born on March 3, 1919 to the union of James and Mary Cleveland in Henderson, KY.

Naomi and family moved from to Kentucky to Michigan at an early age. She attended Highland Park Public Schools and graduated from Miller High School in 1936. She worked for the Board of Education up to her retirement in 1983. She accepted Christ in 1959 and attended New Bethel Baptist Church of Detroit, MI under the leadership of the late Rev. C. L. Franklin. Naomi loved her family and she loved to cook. She was definitely the matriarch because she knew the legacy of the family better than anyone.

Naomi leaves to cherish her 94 yr memories to her sons Galen Kirkpatrick (Annette-deceased), Paul David Kirkpatrick, and Dennis Kirkpatrick (Sonya), her sisters Lillian Harris (Milton Sr.), Carolyn Ward (Lee), Vietta Puck (Mack-deceased), grandchildren Brenda Moore (Sherman), Breawna Kirkpatrick, China Kirkpatrick, Marquis Kirkpatrick, Paul Kirkpatrick Jr, Lenise Jones of Chicago, IL and Rhonda Walker of Atlanta, GA and many many many great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews family and friends!

Naomi was proceeded into eternal life by her husband William Foster Kirkpatrick, son Arthur Howard Sr., parents James and Mary Cleveland, brothers William Cleveland, Elijiah Brown, James Cleveland, Willie Brown, David Cleveland and Freddie Cleveland, sisters Ruth Hairston, Mae Jackson, Tillie Cleveland, Ethel Johns, Algene Thompson, her daughter in law Annette Kirkpatrick, grandchildren Arthur Howard Jr., Marvin Howard, Eve Howard and brother in law Mack Puck.
