Margarie Weston Lamb was born on September 10, 1942 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, the daughter of the late Icelene and Willie Weston.
Mrs. Lamb confessed Christ at an early age and was baptized in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. She spent her early years in Tuscaloosa with her grandparents, Mamie and Henry Weston. She moved to Detroit, Michigan at age 12 where she attended Detroit Public Schools and graduated with honors from Eastern High School.
Margarie Lamb spent more than 30 years employed by the Detroit Public Schools, Highland Park Community College and the Highland Park School District. It was at Highland Park where she met beloved husband, Roosevelt Lamb Sr, who preceded her in death on December 23, 1988.
Mrs. Lamb enjoyed art, social events and political discussions. She also enjoyed taking classes at Highland Park Community College and she was an avid reader. Margarie Lamb was a strong believer in volunteerism and was an active member of several local public service organizations such as the Highland Park Lions Club and Highland Park Housing Authority.
Margarie Lamb leaves to her memory, siblings: Kimberly Laguerre (Faniel), Craig Weston (Wendy); Step children Sharon Lamb Jones and Rene Lamb Brown; Step grandchildren Clinton Jones, Altamese Williams, Gary Brown Jr, Tameka Brown, Sean Brown, Ronshetha Lamb, Kimberly Lamb and Konika Lamb; Nieces and nephews; Brent Weston (Jerrika), Jeffrey Weston, Nia Weston, Amir Laguerre and Raquel Laguerre. She will also be fondly remembered by her special first cousins, Marsha Johnson, Kevin Johnson, Gary Lemon and a host of cousins and friends from the City of Highland Park.
Margarie Lamb departed this life to be with Christ, her Savior and Lord on August 31, 2021.
