A proud high school graduate, Lanier devoted many years of his life to the automotive industry as a machine repairman at Ford, where he was respected for his skill and unwavering commitment. His contributions to the field, combined with his zest for life, left a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to know him.
To his loving family, Lanier was not just a father and grandfather, but a source of wisdom, laughter, and unconditional love. His legacy will forever live on through their cherished memories.
In honor of Lanier's remarkable life and the love he shared, a public viewing will take place at James H. Cole Home for Funerals - Northwest Chapel on Thursday, August 21, 2025, from 3:00pm - 9:00pm. The family hour will be held the following day, Friday, August 22nd, at 12:30 PM, also at James H. Cole Home for Funerals - Northwest Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 1:00pm, where family and friends will gather to celebrate Lanier's life, sharing stories and reflecting on the profound impact he had on all who knew him.
Lanier will be laid to rest at the burial site located at Detroit Memorial Park West in Redford, MI. As we gather to celebrate a life well-lived, we invite all who knew and loved Lanier to join us in honoring his memory and the light he brought into our lives. His spirit will undoubtedly remain with us, guiding and inspiring us in the days to come.
