Bruce C. Lee was born on March 31, 1949 to Lewis and Bettie Lee. He was the second of seven children and the oldest son. Educated in the Toledo Public School System, he was a graduate of Scott High School. Bruce esteemed entrepreneurship as the way to go, choosing to be his own boss for the majority of his life. Bruce was the owner of Backstreet Clothier, also known as Backstreet Jeans, offering fashionable styles from New York, Los Angeles and Detroit at great prices. Quite the dapper man himself, Bruce could often be seen sporting stylish suits and driving fancy cars.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife and the love of his life for the last 50 years, Gwen Lee, whom he lovingly called Bunny; daughters, Leoler Coretta and De’Andrea Clarese; siblings, Betty (B.J.), Aaron (Rock), Brian, Rodney, James (Dandy), and Michelle; grandchildren, Jamal, Devin, Roosevelt III (Tre), Tiara, Alysa, Zaria, Meghan and Dorianna (Dori); great-grandchildren, Mehki, and Alpha plus a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and close friends too numerous to name.
