Leevert McNary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Leevert McNary, a beloved wife, mother, and friend. Born on August 31, 1966, in New York, NY, Leevert shared her vibrant spirit with the world until her untimely death on September 11, 2025.

Leevert was an accomplished cosmetologist who honed her skills, touching the lives of many with her artistry and passion for beauty. Her hands, guided by love and creativity, transformed not just appearances but offered comfort to so many who entered her salon. More than her professional accomplishments, Leevert's warmth, laughter, and unwavering spirit have left an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Leevert's love for her family was evident in everything she did, and her legacy will continue to inspire them and all who cherished her.

In honor of Leevert's life and the impact she made, public viewing will be held at the James H. Cole Home for Funerals - Northwest Chapel on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at 3:00 PM - 9:00 PM. A celebration of her life will follow with a funeral service at Greater Grace Temple on Friday, September 19th, at 11:00 AM. Prior to the service, a Family Hour will take place at 10:00 AM, where family and friends will gather to share memories and offer support to one another.

Following the service, Leevert will be laid to rest at Grand Lawn Cemetery in Detroit, MI, where her family will honor her memory.

Leevert McNary will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all whose lives she touched. May her soul rest in peace.
