Lillie Bell Warren

Obituary: Lillie Bell Smith was born on February 21, 1935 in the city of Livingston, Alabama to Joe Smith and Mamie Pickens. Lillie Warren accepted Christ at an early age.She attended Livingston High School. While in school she participated in the band playing the clarinet. After high school she attended Tuskegee Institute studying Home Economics for one year.She was joined in holy matrimony with Jacob Warren for19 years. To this union four children were born: Carol Gordon(deceased), Gloria Thomas, Glynn Warren (deceased) and Jeffrey Fitch. Lillie B. Warren owned and operated a daycare business for over 40 years. She retired in December, 2007.Lillie Warren loved serving her home church, Messiah Baptist Church, football, and gospel music, especially the Roberta Martin Singers. Most of all she enjoyed nurturing children and sharing love and her godly wisdom with family and friends.She departed this life on Friday, January 14, 2022. She was preceded in death by daughter Carol Gordon, grandson Phillip D. Gordon Jr. and all of her siblings: Cornelia Smith, James(Uncle Buddy) Smith, Joe Smith Jr., Frances Fitch, Velma Smith, Mamie Hill, Felix Smith and Ethel Tanksley. She leaves to cherish her memories: Gloria Thomas,Jeffrey Fitch; one grandson Damon Troy Gordon; seven great-grandchildren, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
