Linda Bryant

Linda Williams, was born on October 1, 1946 in Detroit, Michigan to the union of Gwendolyn and Benjamin Williams.  Linda was the 1st of three children born to this union.  

Linda was educated in the Detroit Public Schools, where she graduated from Mumford High School.

In 1966, William Ezell entered into Linda’s life to become her devoted stepfather and confidant, when he married her mother Gwendolyn and moved their family to Ypsilanti, Michigan.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents William and Gwendolyn Ezell and Benjamin Williams and her sister Sharon Crosby.

Linda united in holy matrimony to Otto Bryant and to this union and they were blessed with 2 daughters Yolanda and Anita.  

Linda was a care giver to her heart.  Employed by then the Mt. Carmel Hospital, Linda was a dutiful nurse’s assistant servicing her patients with love and compassion. Linda continued to display her love for family and care giving as a caregiver for her mother, stepfather and later for her brother Sherman.  Linda was also a private duty nurse to members of the Kay Jeweler’s family.

Linda loved music, dancing and in her younger days an avid skater.  Linda loved to laugh and spend time with her family and friends, spoiling her grandchildren and later the love of her life her great granddaughter Dallas.

 After a brief illness Linda departed this life Friday February 23, 2024.  Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of her daughters; Yolanda (Paul)Hardy and Anita (Larry) Her grandson Paul Hardy and granddaughter Kyra(Brittaney) McKnight, great granddaughter Dallas; Brother Sherman Williams; nephew William (Naomi) Crosby and niece Karen; two aunts Ruby Ward and Shirlene Meaders, her longtime companion Lorin Collins “skip”; her extended family, Denise Bennett and Eunice Thomas and a loving host of family and friends.
