Life Story for Penelope Love

Penelope Love, better known as, “Penny,” to most was the daughter to Willie and Marguerite Sewell, baby sister to Beverly Bond and older twin sister to Pamela by 6 minutes. Penny, was born raised in Detroit until the age of 9 when her family moved to St. Louis, Missouri shortly after the passing of her father. During her teenage years, she ventured back to Detroit and just by chance she met what turned out to be her soulmate, Melvin Love. The moment they met, it was magical for the both of them and the relationship took sail from there. They eventually introduced one another to family and friends, after a nice stretch of reckless fun, they became a family with Tina and Shannan. Out of a 45 year relationship together, they were blessed to have shared some of the memorable times a family could have. They were by no means rich and definitely had their ups and downs, but Penelope had everything she could have ever wanted, but good health. Even near the end she was more concerned for others than herself. For an example, whenever she had any food she would ask the nurses, “Want some of this?” Eventually she knew that she’d never leave the hospital but struggled and tried to hang on for her family. She fought a very courageous battle. Thank God, she did not have to suffer her last breath. We love you and will see you at the Golden Gates.
