The Obituary




“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.” 2Timothy 4:7-8 (KJV)



Beloved Evangelist, Psalmist, Wife, Mother, God Mother, Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Niece, Cousin and Friend, Lucy Ann Hill affectionately known as “Boot” or “Aunt Buddy” triumphantly entered the glories of heaven on December 20, 2021.



Sister Lucy Ann Hill was the seventh of seven children, five girls and two boys, born to
Sawyer Jackson and Mattie Taylor-Jackson. She was born on May 16, 1933 in Coatopa,
Alabama.



At an early age, Lucy accepted Christ as her Savior and was baptized at the Mt. Tabor Baptist Church in Coatopa, Alabama. She later moved to Detroit, Michigan where she immediately established herself as a Christian minister as her lifelong occupation.



She was preceded in death by her parents; all her siblings; her husband (Robert Hill) and her 3 children - Annette, Clarence and Mark.



Lucy leaves to cherish her memory five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, her best friend, Angelita Jones-Bush, her great nephew, Michael James Edwards-II, her god-daughter, Denitra Brown, and a host of nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and special friends.
