Margaret Smith

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Margaret Louise Smith, who departed this world on December 28, 2025, at the age of 91. Born on July 4, 1934, in Detroit, Michigan, Margaret lived a life filled with love, resilience, and commitment to her family and career.

Margaret had an impactful career as an Tax Analyst at the Internal Revenue Service. Her attention to detail and dedication to her work earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues and clients alike.

As a devoted mother, Margaret is survived by her two beloved daughters, Marsha Latham and Danita Mann, as well as a host of grandchildren. Her strength and nurturing spirit profoundly influenced the lives of those around her, and her legacy will continue through the love she cultivated within her family.

The community is invited to join in honoring Margaret's life and memory. A public viewing will be held at James H. Cole Home for Funerals - Northwest Chapel on Sunday, January 11, 2026, from 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM. The funeral service will take place the following day, Monday, January 12th, at 11:00 AM, with a family hour preceding the service at 10:30 AM.

Margaret will be laid to rest with her husband at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI following the service.
