David E. Miller, I

May 24, 1933 — August 15, 2021

David Eugene Miller departed this life on Sunday, August 15, 2021, peacefully at home. He was the seventh of eight children born to the late James McKinley and Josie Miller on May 24, 1933 in Barren Springs, VA. His siblings, Bruce Miller, Thomas Miller, Arthur Miller, Maxine Dorsey, Everett Miller and Leah Miller, all preceded him in death.

He was educated in the Allisonia County Public School System in Virginia and attended Johnson Chapel, where he was baptized at an early age.

David moved to Detroit, Michigan in the early 1950s where he met and married his soulmate for over 50 years Marguerite McClain who also preceded him in death. He was a laborer for the Chrysler Corporation and had a love for cars and motorcycles. David enjoyed spending time with his son fishing somewhere in the Great Lakes.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his son, Stephyn Murray David Eugene; grandchildren, Justin, Stephyn II, Lelia, and Javon; a sister, Steler Miller; a niece, Karyn Miller who they loved and raised, and a host of other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
