Eler Louise Minetee

May 13, 1941 — November 30, 2020

Eler Louise Minetee, affectionately known as Bay was born May 13, 1941 in Fort Gaines,
GA to Frankie Louise Boldin-Minetee and Charlie Minetee.
She began her early education in the Clay County, Georgia School System while living
with her grandmother Laura Bell Minetee. Once her dad ended his tour in the Army the
family moved to Detroit where she continued her education through high school
graduation and beyond.
She was raised in a Christian home where her parents taught her to walk by faith not by
sight. She was a member of the True Love Baptist Church Mission Department under
the leadership of Pastor Herbert Robinson, Jr.
Her work career began as a Postal Worker for a few years; later she worked at Henry
Ford Hospital and finally the Pediatric Nurse Wellness Plan Program.
She was the loving and proud mother of one son, Derrick Rishard Minetee.
She will be remembered by her family for the many reminiscent life stories shared
during her visits. She enjoyed fellowshipping with friends and family.
She transitioned to life everlasting on November 30 at Henry Ford’s Hospital. She was
preceded in death by her parents, grandparents and son.
Fond memories of Bay will be cherished by her loved ones; Three grandsons, Derrick
Rishard Minetee Jr, Desmond Minetee and Deonte Minetee; Great granddaughters,
Desiree and Dana Minetee; daughter-in-law, Sabrina Minetee; Her best friend, Doris
Harris; Her many cousins including, Keith Minetee, Cheryl M. Ball, The William Lewis
family (Ypsilanti), The Dillard cousins, Norman, Alfonzo, Tommy, John, Charles, Gayle
Dillard Coach and Sherry Dillard Abrams (New York), The Boldin, Morris, Green and
Maxey families in Florida and many loved one. She will be missed.
