Nancy Jean Robinson was born on December 8, 1951, in Yazoo City, MS. She was the second child of five born to George and Susie Williams. She leaves behind three children from her first marriage, Charnita, Nicola (Shawn), and Yolanda, and two children, Robert (Lance) and Katrina, with her husband, Lacy Robinson.

In 1956, at the age of 4, she moved to Detroit with her family. She graduated from Northwestern High School and received a Tax Certification from business school. Growing up with her siblings, she would often be seen following her older brother, George Williams, around and helping her mother with her younger siblings, Sonja, Pamela, and Marc. As an adult, she took her mother's mantle and continued to hold family gatherings at her home. She would cook, dance, and have the family up late, playing cards, Spades, and Bid Whist. She was also fond of Flowers and her garden.  

She was an amazing mother, grandmother, and wife who leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Lacy Robinson
Four siblings: George(Alex), Sonja, Pamela, and Marc(Pamela). Nine Grandchildren: Gregory, Charles, Christa, Nashaunna, Charita, Monique, Jeffon, Alexus and King. Two Great-GrandChildren, Skye and Mike, and a Host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and two Aunts, Bettye and Beverly Mitchell.
