Glenn D. Perry

Glenn David Perry was born at home on October 12, 1949 in Detroit, MI to the late Percy and Catherine Perry.
He was the third of ten children.
Glenn was raised in a Christian home and was baptized as a child at Greater Christ Baptist Church. He graduated from Highland Park High School in 1968. He later enrolled into the nursing program at JTPA and graduated in the early1980’s.
In 1972 he married his high school sweetheart Charlotte Canada and they shared many years together.

A lover of life, Glenn was known to enjoy dancing, cooking, baking, barbecuing, and working. He was known to “dress” every day and maintained his signature waved hair. He was beloved and cherished by family, friends, and the nursing community.

Glenn made his transition on Thursday February 9, 2017 at home. He leaves to cherish his life his children Michael Townsend, Eric (Leah) Perry, Monica (Wendell) Jordan, Christina Perry, and Ke’Airra Perry. Several grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Siblings: Percy Jr, James, Robin, Drucilla, & LaTanya and long term girlfriend Debra Osborne. Other nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of neighbors and loving friends. He was proceeded in death by his parents, infant son David, siblings; Flossie, Patricia, Cassandra, and Tyrone Sr.
