Patricia Reed

June 5, 1941 — December 23, 2020

Patricia Ann Reed was born in Detroit Michigan on June 5, 1941 to
Lillian (Rushin) Reed and John Curtis Reed. They both preceded her in
death.
Patricia (Pat) was independent and determined about whatever she
intended to do. If you could pick a theme for her life it would be," I Did It My

Way." Pat was talented in art and sang for many years in the choir at Second Baptist Church in Detroit. She finished her education at Eastern High

School and later attended Oakland County Community College. As a

young lady, Pat worked at Hudson's Department Store and then
accomplished a professional career at the City County Building in Detroit Michigan. The 3rd of eight siblings, Pat played an active role in helping her mother and other siblings raise her younger sisters and brothers. Pat loved to

travel and explored the United States from coast to coast by car, train, bus
and air. Pat also traveled the European Countries and then Egypt. She used
to say, " I'm an air sign and I've got to go." Once Pat got started she never

stopped going. Searching for adventure and deeper spirituality, she accepted Jesus Christ as her savior and joined Second Baptist Church of Detroit and later Solomon's Temple of Detroit. Pat had a great sense of humor

and could make people laugh. Her presence on this earth will be missed.
Pat, no doubt, is now traveling through the great beyond looking for the
next adventure and getting acquainted with Jesus.
On December 23, 2020, God called Pat home. She was preceded in

death by two sisters, June Reed Swad and Sandra Williams, and one broth-
er, Vincent Reed. She leaves behind to cherish her memory: one sister Arnita (Gary) Force; three brothers, Melvin (Dee Dee) Reed, Ulysses Reed

and Franklin Reed; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and
church family members.
