Blanch Reese, 73, of Detroit, Michigan, was born May 1, 1947 to Emma and Oscar Underwood, Sr. in Sheffield, Alabama. Blanch was the sixth child. She was educated in the Detroit Public School System.
In 1966, Blanch welcomed her first daughter, Jolone Denise, and her second daughter Kelley Shelleen in 1968. Blanch began working for the Fisher Body Division of General Motors in February 1976 and retired in October 1988.
On February 19, 1991, Blanch married the love of her life and best friend, Eddison Joseph “Joe” Reese, Sr. Joe and Blanch spent their time basking in the love they had for each other, traveling, and hosting numerous parties.
On April 8, 2021, Jesus called Blanch home to rest. She will be welcomed into the arms of so many family and friends that have passed on before her.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her Mother, Emma Dee; her loving husband Joe; five children Jolone, Kelley, Eddison, Jr., Kelvin (Lolita), and Eric, Sr.; eight grandchildren, Ashley (Joe), Jillynn (Derek), Jovonne (Cinnamon), Justin (Lauren), Danielle (Aaron), Ka’Vree, Eric, Jr., and Ja’Lyn; and seven great grandchildren, Boston, Mason, Amina, Aria, Carter, Amir and Amari; three sisters Annie, Ora, and Shirley; 2 brothers, Oscar (Utressa), and Charles (Beverly); a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, play cousins and friends who all loved her for her unique self.
