John D. Sanders
John D. Sanders was born on January 19, 1949 to the union of John D. Sanders & Beulah Watson Sanders. John was the second youngest of seven children. John was educated in the Detroit Public Schools. He attended Columbian Elementary, Condon Jr. High School & Wilbur Wright Trade School where he was a Co Op student & took up drafting. John also attended Highland Park Jr. College for 2 years. He was a graduate of Wayne State University where he obtained a degree in Liberal Arts. John worked various jobs over the
years. One memorable job was being a driver for Art Van Furniture where he delivered furniture for Thomas "Hitman" Hearns & Michael Hearns. John worked for many years at Henry Ford Hospital on the Transport Team & the Express Team. He loved & bragged about his Henry Ford Hospital Team members everywhere he went. John loved music, the arts & he loved people in general. John never met a stranger and always offered a helping hand to anyone in need. John loved his family & shared his passion for music & art with them. He even inspired His niece Sabrina so much that she followed in his footsteps & also obtained an Art Degree. John helped his sister Alice & brother in law Robert(Bob) often with their children who were the only nieces & nephews in the family. He often drew cartoons for them & painted portraits of the family from their childhood to their adult years. You could always depend on him no matter what he kept his word when he said he would be there for you he would.
John was loved by so many & will be truly missed by all. John's departed this life on Thursday August 8,2013 at Henry Ford Hospital. He leaves to cherish his loving memory his brother Walter Sanders, Dearest Friend Doris N. Archibald, (Nephews) Harlon & Erik Hubbard. (Nieces) Angela(Archie) Miller, Sabrina(Michael Parks Sr) Great Nieces Krystal Phelps & Sierra Hubbard, Great nephew Michael Floyd Parks, Great Great nephew
Kamari Fears, & a host of cousins & coworkers & friends, all of Detroit Michigan. John's parents, brother JD, sisters Mary, Annie & Hattie Sanders & sister Alice Hubbard preceded him in death.
