Dorothy Sledge

Dorothy Oreada Wbller was born to the union of Ed Waller and Matilda Brazier January 7, 1931 in ltta Bena, Mississippi. She accepted Christ at an early age and kept him in her life. She attended Miller High in Detroit where she sang in the band and was a cheerleader. Graduating in 1949. She married her high school sweetheart Thomas W. Sledge on May 28, 1949. To this union was born six children Janice Peters (Michael), Linda Lide’, Thomas W. Jr. (deceased), Valerie Townsel (Anthony), Tracy and Scott Sledge.

Dorothy was a US Postal retiree. She loved her family, gardening and crocheting. She loved traveling. Hot Springs was a favorite.

She is survived by her husband Thomas W. Sledge, five children, nine grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She is survived by one sister Georgia Waller and a host of family and friends.
