Sharon Renee Spencer-Kegler was born January 20, 1962, to Barbara Ann Spencer-Williams in Detroit, Michigan. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. As the only child, she spent parts of her adolescence with her many cousins in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. When she returned to Detroit, she graduated from Cody High School where she played tennis. She was a socialite, who knew how to have a good time, and was sure to make you laugh with her quick-witted charm. On July 20, 1995, she married Charles E Kegler III. and became a bonus mom to his children Christol "Chrissy" Armstrong and Charles "Little Charles" E. Kegler, IV.
Next to Christ, family was the most important thing to Sharon. She was a devoted grandmother and woman of faith and was known to demonstrate the unconditional love of Christ by being a trusted confidant, generous spirit, who would share anything from an uplifting word to the shirt off her back. She just couldn't stand seeing anyone going without; all while giving her health battles over to the Lord. Sharon Spencer was admired by most as being simply resilient. In 2012, she received dual Associates degrees from George C Wallace Community College majoring in Biology and Liberal Arts. She refused to let any health ailment stop her from the joy of shopping for the cutest shoes or the next decor piece to add to her home.
She will truly be missed by her family, friends and all that knew her.
